As a D2L Solutions Engineer you'll spend every day helping those around you get the most out of D2L products and services. You'll help prospective and existing clients by understanding their unique needs and proposing a solution including D2L products and services to meet those needs. Your passion for teaching and learning makes people want to open up to you, and your expertise in learning technology and how to accomplish nearly anything using the D2L platform makes you a trusted advisor. You're excited to speak to everyone from students and instructors to a CIO or CEO, and your demos and presentations provoke gasps of amazement, if not outright applause. Others on the team look up to you for your expert guidance and coaching and you regularly share best practices and tips to help others grow and develop.

Major Responsibilities (How Will I Make an Impact?):

• Assist Sales in qualifying opportunities and planning client engagement and win strategy
• Transition accounts and communicate business requirements to implementation teams
• Actively drive and manage prospective clients' technology evaluation, using your knowledge of the business environment, competitive landscape, and Brightspace differentiators
• Develop and deliver custom demos and presentations that are simple and engaging, leaving your audience eager to use Brightspace
• Support the sales process by acting as expert in D2L products and services, including functionality, usage, architecture, and deployment
• Provide support to Sales Executives in closing deals and exceeding revenue objectives in an assigned territory
• Align client's needs, goals, and objectives to D2L solutions; develop proposals and help to write RFP responses

What you'll bring to the role:

• Ability to travel up to 50%
• Previous experience in the Education Technology or HCM space would be a strong asset
• Demonstrated ability to understand complex business challenges and apply creativity and problem-solving to meet client needs
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to speak with confidence to a variety of audiences, effectively articulating technical concepts in a meaningful way
• Organized and analytical, with excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong drive to achieve results
• 5+ years of experience in a Pre-Sales focused capacity, Sales Engineer or related role
• Technical understanding of enterprise software, web, and database technology
• Ability to work with a distributed team and travel extensively
• Strong personal leadership skills with passion to coach and mentor others
