Job Title: Field Engineer

: As a Field Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our client's construction projects, working alongside project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure successful project execution. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and support on-site, ensuring that construction activities are carried out in accordance with design specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. You will be involved in various stages of the construction process, from planning and surveying to monitoring and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of construction documents, including plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical support and guidance to field crews, ensuring compliance with design specifications, engineering drawings, and project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on-site, conducting safety inspections and providing recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to ensure timely completion of the project.
• Perform quality control inspections to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards, identifying and addressing any deviations or non-conformities.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field crews to plan and execute construction activities effectively and efficiently.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to coordinate construction activities and resolve any technical issues or conflicts.
• Monitor and report on project progress, including daily logs, progress reports, and documentation of site activities.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements relevant to heavy civil undergrounds construction.
• Conduct surveys and measurements to verify alignment, grades, and elevations, utilizing surveying instruments and equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with construction software and tools, such as AutoCAD, BIM, and project management software.
• Proficiency in surveying methods and equipment, including total stations, GPS, and laser levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Field Engineer
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and relevant codes and regulations.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
