About the Role:
As a member of the Data & Analytics team, reporting to the Head of Data Analytics, you will be part of the team that bridges the gap between business strategy and data. You will help scale data analytics by ensuring that data infrastructure is high quality, performant, resilient, and optimized for business impact.
You will own the data transformations and provide a single source of truth for the organization.
In this role, you will:
• Create and execute the data platform strategy that aligns with the Data & Analytics strategy
• Own the data platform development, maintenance, and administration to ensure we have the right
technology that brings in the correct data in the right format
• Create APIs and BI Integrations to deliver large datasets to the customers
• Responsible for building, maintaining, and managing large-scale data pipelines that power critical features
• Leverage cloud resources to support the acquisition and ingestion of internal and external data
sources
• Maximize the availability, recoverability, and operational efficiency of data pipelines and supporting systems
• Build up and improve the observability of the platform as well as ps provide visibility into system health
• Leverage modern software development processes and tooling (e.g., CI/CD) to ensure a reliable and
scalable data platform
• Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews and pair programming sessions
To be successful in this role, you likely need the following:
• Have 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data infrastructure roles
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, Business Management,
Computer or Data Sciences, or Statistics
• Work with cloud-based data warehouses, ELT processes
• Experience in Spark
• Experience in ELT/ETL
• Experience in Rest API
• Possess expert Python skills (PySpark, Pandas, Scikit Learn, Numpy, Boto3, Glue + Spark Context)
• Experience with data pipeline technologies, data modelling (Star schemas, Snowflake, and
aggregation tables)
• Experience in Amazon Glue, S3, AppFlow, Athena, EC2/ECS, Code Commit/Code Pipeline
Plusses:
• Python’s Keras/TensorFlow/Pytorch
