What will you do?

Can you transition seamlessly from a technical discussion with an engineer to a consultative discussion with a customer? Do you enjoy solving problems for customers? Are you excited to join an expanding (also smart, fun, driven) team with some challenging (but achievable!) goals?

We are looking for problem managers. Experienced engineers who can work with clients and collaborate with internal engineering teams, assess issues, communicate plans, and act with a focus on solving critical customer issues. You will understand how your customers think about the value of Enlighted and assist them by addressing technical and operational issues they may encounter with our products. You will constantly drive to improve product reliability and performance and enhance customer value. Confident and clear communication is critical for this role, both spoken and written skills are needed for success in this role.

• Upskill and train technical support team members to handle recurring issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical support issues impacting Enlighted's global customers.
• Develop and maintain effective troubleshooting flows for customers and fellow support personnel.
• Own relationships with customers and serve as technical point of contact during issue resolution
• Extensive creation & usage of Knowledge articles on service-related issues and topics
• Drive process improvement and increase knowledge sharing within the organization.
• Facilitate escalations and drive effective follow-up with Development & Engineering teams on highly complicated incidents.

What will you need to succeed?

• Experience with VMWare and enterprise and cloud virtualization
• Knowledge of networking; a solid understanding of wireless networking (802.11, 802.15.4) concepts, networks configuration, and troubleshooting
• Working experience with Linux and UNIX/Linux shell scripting
• Familiarity with DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure technologies
• 5+ years of working experience in an integrated hardware and software organization, working with teams focused on engineering, testing, and product management
• Curiosity and willingness/desire to learn about different areas of technology.
• SQL query language and relational database systems
• 5+ years of experience working in a support role with customer-facing responsibilities
• Degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines or equivalent work experience
• Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
• Excellent client-facing communication skills

Assets

• Experience with lighting control systems fixture integration in commercial installations
• 3+ years of enterprise IT experience that may include hands-on software development, DevOps engineering, systems architecture, technical project management or similar
• Experience with IoT, Workplace Experience, or Building Technologies
• Understanding of hardware, sensors, workplace lighting technologies and controls and embedded/IoT systems concepts
• Knowledge of building management systems, and specifically BACnet protocol over IP
• Prior programming experience - any familiarity with logical operations (PLC)
