Experience (8+ years with at least 3 years as Technical /.NET Architect):

5+ years’ experience in architecting web and Windows-based applications.

Migrate current code base using best practises onto Git version control and Mbed Studio IDE platforms to simplify on-going device management

At least 3 years of experience in developing firmware using ARM/STM32 microprocessors and a real-time OS (Mbed OS toolchain preferred)

Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages and experience developing interfaces to peripherals such as cameras, digital and analog sensors

Experience in developing and debugging software on embedded, real-time systems

Knowledge of Internet protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP) and networking principles (eg., IP/MAC addressing)

Knowledge of cellular modems and services (eg., Quectel, LTE/CATM1, NBIoT, GSM, Cat1bis)

Expert knowledge of AWS/Azure Services: AzDO, Azure App Services, SQL-Managed, EC2, CloudFormation.

Degree in Computer Science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). An equivalent combination of education/experience will be considered.

10+ years of development/architecture experience on cloud.

Experience in architecting complex solutions (large-scale, multi-region, HA, 10K+ concurrent users, mission-critical application systems) involving various cloud computing technologies.

Working experience architecting and implementing diverse cloud solutions.

Experience with Micro-Service Architecture, Kubernetes and Containers solutions, Multi-region API and Messaging Solutions.

Provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering on product functionality and future enhancements

Report and communicate key takeaways with team members, management and stakeholders

Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate technical knowledge for different audiences

College/University Degree or Diploma in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent related work experience

5+ years of experience in a client-facing Sales Engineering role preferably in the Broadcast, Cable and/or telecom industries

Nice to have experience with cloud based encoding solutions such as AWS Elemental Media Convert or Bitmovin

10+ years of Experience at the project level in authoring Solution Assessment Proposal, Statement of Work, and Solution Design collaterals.

An Engineering Degree (Software/Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) degree is an asset ;

Professional Engineering designation is preferred

Background in physical and cloud-based data centres, infrastructure, backup, and disaster recovery/high availability.

The project is creating a cloud-based data centre and migrating critical systems on-premises to this new environment.

Location: Etobicoke/Hybrid (1 day a week in office)

Technical hands-on working experience / working knowledge of following technologies:

7-10 years of technical working experience in Consulting or Corporate Systems Development environments or equivalent

Expert knowledge of web-based information technology principles, System Integration, Methodologies and Standards / Metrics.

Extensive experience in creating full stack solutions (Frontend and Backend)

Experience in designing solutions using Micro services architecture, design patterns and frameworks
