Solution Architect

Contract: 12 months (extendable)

Location: Etobicoke/Hybrid (1 day a week in office)

We are looking for a solution architect with a background in physical and cloud-based data centres, infrastructure, backup, and disaster recovery/high availability. This would be the focus of the work they would engage in, looking at creating a cloud-based data centre and migrating critical systems on-premises to this new environment. Of course, in addition to this would expect an overall skillset in being a solution architect, but with experience in the above. Overall skillset includes a broad knowledge of the Application and Infrastructure side.

• Proven Technical Skills in multiple Application Architecture components (SOA/WS/ ESB/ REST/ JSON, UML, XML, Java, J2EE, OPC UA, HTTP, IloT, MQTT, AMQP, Pl
• 10+ years of Enterprise Architecture Governance implementation in complex large-scale organizations with a wide spectrum of business portfolios, employing a variety of technology platforms
• The project is creating a cloud-based data centre and migrating critical systems on-premises to this new environment.
• Background in physical and cloud-based data centres, infrastructure, backup, and disaster recovery/high availability.
• 10+ years of Experience at the project level in authoring Solution Assessment Proposal, Statement of Work, and Solution Design collaterals.
• Professional Engineering designation is preferred
• An Engineering Degree (Software/Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) degree is an asset ;
• 15+ years of experience in planning, design and/or management of complex technology projects employing a variety of technologies, technology generations and integration platforms
