Senior Sales Representative Jobs

Located in the heart of downtown Victoria, Gabriel Ross is Canada's primary source for the most sought after and respected manufacturers of authentic contemporary and mid-century modern furniture, lighting, & home accessories. In a few short weeks we will be opening our new location which will double our existing showroom space and provide an unmatched high-end furniture and lighting destination in the downtown core.

We are looking for a Retail Sales Associate to be the first point of contact for telephone and walk-in customer inquiries. This is mid-level position ideally suited to a candidate with furniture retail or design background and excellent computer skills. As Retail Sales Associate, you will work with the existing Showroom Sales Team and report to the Showroom Manager.

Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

• Strong research skills, email management skills, and attention to detail.
• Minimum two years sales and customer service experience.
• PC-centered, with strong document and spreadsheet skills using Microsoft 365 and OneDrive. Experience with NetSuite or inventory management software an asset.
• Self-motivated and interested in keeping up on the latest trends in the industry.
• Proficient with professional business language and writing skills.
• Well organized, flexible, eager, supportive, and able to balance priorities.
• Committed to contributing to a positive team atmosphere.

Example of Responsibilities:

• Merchandising, creating vignettes, product tagging.
• Suggest and promote products and have a passion for the stories and designers behind these products.
• Providing design advice and product suggestions to a variety of customers; anywhere from a single accessory to an entire home of furniture and lighting.
• Creating customer profiles, collecting payments, submitting purchase orders to suppliers, and ensuring proper inventory processes are followed through in cloud-based ERP system.
• Answering telephone inquiries and providing a high level of customer service from start of order to final delivery.
• Maintaining general cleanliness and upkeep of showroom.
• Positive and supportive collaboration with Showroom and Web Sales Teams.

Hours of Work:

• We plan to be open 7 days per week at our new location. This position is Full-time at 40 hours per week. Schedule varies, but you must be available to work weekends!
