The Role

The Senior Process Engineer is Basetwo’s in-house Subject Matter Expert (SME) for pharmaceutical, chemicals and biologics manufacturing. Specifically, the Senior Process Engineer is responsible for working with manufacturing engineers to derive value from the Basetwo platform for process optimization and COGs reductions initiatives. The Senior Process Engineer must be proficient in operational analysis, simulation, and process control in order to align the manufacturer’s needs and expectations with deliverables.

What You’ll Do

The Senior Process Engineer is the manufacturer’s trusted technical advisor for process improvement initiatives using the Basetwo platform. This includes:

• Supporting the development of reports and visualizations that can be used to assist in the decision making process by the customer around process optimization
• Analyzing existing process operations based on available data, PFDs and P&IDs in order to identify process improvement opportunities
• Training internal and external teams on engineering & analytics methodologies to facilitate implementation of Basetwo solutions.
• Sales Engineering
• Identifying and building relationships with customer technical stakeholders and end-users to understand business objectives and process engineering pain points.
• Developing proposals and responding to RFI/RFPs related to the implementation of Basetwo AI for manufacturing and process development
• Customer Success Initiatives
• Supporting with conference abstracts, presentations, product demos, webinars and conferences as it relates to the promotion of Basetwo's AI platform
• Identifying custom data integration integrations that may be required to facilitate process improvement initiatives
• Developing customer relationships to implement high-impact use cases that expand Basetwo usage.
• Technical Problem Solving
• Supporting updates and troubleshooting activities of AI model development as necessary based on new data, information, or process changes identified by the customer
• Working alongside multi-disciplinary teams of Data Scientists and Software Engineers
• Ensuring successful completion of Basetwo use cases that maximize customer ROI
• Identifying gaps in Basetwo’s capabilities required to meet customer needs and give relevant technical product feedback to the product organization.

Requirements

What You’ll Need

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Proven ability to understand and analyze time-series and process data - including manufacturing production metrics, field/lab data, and quality and reliability data
• Motivated by a passion for applying cutting edge technology, i.e. AI/ML, to solve complex challenges in foundational industries
• 3-5+ years of engineering experience relevant to process manufacturing (i.e. pharmaceuticals, biotechnology chemicals)
• Empathetic leader capable of building and nurturing a well-rounded process team
• Programming experience in Python would be considered an asset
• Strong communication skills - an ability to translate complex technical content to understandable/relatable concepts
• Knowledge of enterprise historians such as OSIsoft PI, Delta-V, Wonderware, GE Proficy, etc. is valuable
