This role conducts process hazard analysis for evaluating operational risks and propose risk reduction measures to support risk management activities related to asset management, lifecycle management, project life cycle, integrity management and pipeline safety management. You would also be evaluating financial benefits and risks of proposed gas-carrying investments for the asset plan.

What You Will Do
Conduct risk assessments to support other business functions

• Apply ALARP principle in risk assessments and communication of results
• Conduct process hazard analysis to identify, evaluate, and control major accident hazards at different stages of the asset life cycle

Develop Expertise And Best Company Practices In Risk Modelling

• Engage partners to understand their needs in risk modelling and incorporate them in the development of risk assessment guidelines.

Support risk based decision making

• Provide clear and concise documentation to a broad range of partners (internal/external) of risk decision in risk based decision process
• Collaborate with stakeholders within the organization to provide appropriate risk input and perspective

Value assessments for asset management

• Develop an understanding of safety, operational reliability, commercial and other operational risks
• Conduct value assessments (risk and benefit analysis).

Who You Are

• University Engineering degree and four or more years’ of related experience.
• Ability to present and facilitate to a wide variety of audiences including, technical, senior management in an effective manner with excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Professional Engineering designation within Ontario or within Canadian Jurisdiction.

• Relevant industry experience of conducting and managing risk assessments.
• Highly numerate, logical, self-motivated individual with initiative and an eye for detail.
