We are seeking a skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our team in the railways industry. As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, inspecting, and optimizing industrial processes within the manufacturing sector to efficiently transform raw materials into finished products.
Responsibilities:
- Estimate Method Time for various manufacturing processes.
- Perform task sequencing for workstations to optimize production efficiency.
- Contribute to Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (P-FMEA) during the detailed design phase and prior to Serial Go.
- Precisely calculate Method Time to improve process efficiency and productivity.
- Validate product design and industrialization through First Article Inspection (FAI) and Final Article Report (FAR) processes.
- Participate in product design reviews as required during the specification and preliminary design phases.
- Collaborate with the Process Engineer or Product Information Management (PIM) team to provide input and ideas that enhance product manufacturability and help achieve Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) targets.
- Initiate tooling requests and write tooling specifications as needed.
- Depending on the domain, be responsible for creating ERP routings, Work Instructions, Inspection Instructions, and CNC machine programs, ensuring adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines and ergonomic standards.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of product design, industrialization processes, and manufacturing techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer in the railways or manufacturing industry.
