Senior Process Engineer Jobs

Job Summary:

The Senior Process Engineer will assume a key role in leading Technology Development projects. This includes the opportunity to support the operation of the of our plants while leveraging core chemical/process engineering skillsets to apply demonstrable results directly in the clean technology development process. The Senior Process Engineer will verify practices for efficiency and accuracy to develop and help implement processes that are safe and improve quality.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the engineering teams to review and provide input to design documents, equipment specifications, and process descriptions to support projects
• Manage troubleshooting, process development, and continuous improvement projects
• Assist with project cost estimation including OPEX and Cash Flow modelling
• Contribute to Health & Safety culture of Li-Cycle
• Design and management of lab scale test work programs Collect and analyze test work data, generate summary reports, and present results to the project team
• Be a thought leader in the pursuit of continuous development and innovation
• Develop budget and resource forecast management for the process study scopes
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business while providing value as a project team member
• Provide technical support and detailed reviews of process design work including calculations, drawings, and test work
• Lead and work collaboratively on Technology Development projects during the studies and basic engineering phases

Job Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge in hydrometallurgy such as lithium brine, and base metals ores considered an asset
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Leadership abilities including project management skills, lead design role capability and supervisory skills
• The ability to produce succinct reports/presentations to communicate status of assigned projects/tasks
• Effective time management skills
• Chemical Engineer degree required
• Minimum 7 years' experience as a process engineer in a mineral processing, metallurgical or similar environment
• Proven ability to create and execute project plans that have achieved the identified targets
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
