Test Manager - Flight Operations :

Responsibilities for flight test engineer:

• Oversee and participate in development of integrated test requirements, criteria, plans, and procedures

• Support the engineering team on refining the system architecture during future proposal efforts

• Support test planning working groups, plan and conduct test readiness reviews, and conduct pre and post test briefings

• Assemble and coordinate a test team, as the test conductor Integration with Dream Chaser Design & Development team, Safety & Mission Assurance and partner engineering and operations personnel

• Act as a technical liaison to the Program Manager Ensure product testability and supportability

• Provide technical solutions to a wide range of instrumentation challenges as they arise

• Mission Control Room support

• Pre-flight and Post-flight activities

• Anomaly troubleshooting

• Modification direction and oversight

Qualifications for flight test engineer

•You should have basic skills in programming languages (such as C, C+, C#, Perl, and Python)

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a four year college or university

• Must have worked with cost accounting and estimating practices

• You must be able to give presentations to provide effective governance information to the project team and to Management

• Software algorithm design and test

• Avionics, Sensors, Tactical Displays, Mission Computing

• You must be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team in a results-oriented environment
• You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• You must be able to meet your commitments and be willing to learn
