The Role:
Our people are our biggest investment and asset, thus we are seeking a Senior Manager, Talent Management who can successfully implement strategies that will ensure we continue to develop and retain the exceptional talent at Viral nation. Reporting to the SVP People & Culture, the successful candidate will bring 7+ years of experience creating and implementing programs focused on creating long-term career opportunities while driving organizational performance. Strong business acumen is necessary as the successful candidate will be called upon to participate as a true business partner across all Viral Nation business units to ensure that every person at Viral Nation is set up to do their best work. This individual will be tasked with developing and executing talent acquisition, development, retention, and succession planning initiatives to ensure the organization has the talent it needs to meet its goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
  • Developing and managing the employee engagement and culture initiatives to promote a positive and productive work environment
  • Conducting research on industry best practices and trends in talent management to continually improve the talent management strategies
  • Providing guidance and support to managers and employees on talent management processes and initiatives, including career development, performance management and talent acquisition
  • Managing and analyzing employee feedback data to identify areas for improvement in talent management processes and programs
  • Developing and managing the performance management system to ensure employees are receiving feedback and development opportunities to meet their career goals
  • Creating and implementing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace
  • Collaborating with external vendors and partners to deliver talent management programs and services, such as leadership development programs or employee wellness initiatives
  • Working with managers and executives to identify and address talent gaps within their teams and develop plans to close those gaps
  • Developing and managing the compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive and aligned with business goals
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, policies and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline
  • Certified Human Resource Leader (CHRL) or Executive (CHRE) designation
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop creative solutions to complex human resource issues with a strong working knowledge of Canadian employment law, practices, and models
  • 7+ years in Human Resources and 5+ Years in people management
