Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Acquisitions to join its team in downtown Vancouver. In this newly established role, you will be reporting directly to the CEO and the Acquisitions Committee.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and analyzing potential acquisition opportunities, managing due diligence processes, and negotiating purchase and sale agreements.
Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other departments, including development, construction, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of acquisitions.
• Lead due diligence efforts, including overseeing third-party consultants and reviewing legal and financial documents.
• Negotiate purchase and sale agreements, ensuring that terms are in line with the firm's investment criteria and risk tolerance.
• Identify and analyze potential acquisition opportunities, including market research and financial analysis.
• Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to stay current on market trends and inform the firm's acquisition strategy.
• Maintain relationships with brokers, sellers, and other industry contacts to source potential acquisition opportunities.
• Manage a team of acquisition professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive acquisition strategy aligned with the firm's growth objectives.

Qualifications

• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, business administration or a related field.
• At least 5-7 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, with a proven track record of successful transactions.
• In-depth knowledge of the real estate industry, including market trends and competitive landscape.
• Strong financial analysis skills, with experience modeling complex real estate transactions.
