Work Arrangement: You'll work both remote and onsite, where time onsite is based on your job accountabilities and performance objectives.

As ATB's next Senior Business Analyst, you will consult with customers (senior management through to the front line) and internal resources to determine how people, data, processes, communications and information technology can best accomplish improvements for the business. The Senior Business Analyst will act as facilitator and liaison, bridging the gap between business and technical resources. When problem solving, the focus is on the business and non-technical aspects. This Business Analyst may be required to coach/mentor other BA's and team members. In addition they will be responsible for developing documentation and providing a quality review of documentation prepared by other team members. The position may also be assigned ad hoc project and/or reporting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Exceptional track record building and maintaining relationships and partnerships with all the project business stakeholders and partners.
• Work collaboratively with Business Analysts and Business Subject Matter Experts (SME's) by participating in process reviews and/or providing process modeling services of current state and/or future state.
• May engage in support of product launch and transition period after deployment.
• Effectively control scope of own work (prioritize, identify potential issues with estimates or deadlines early), and recognize when assistance is required and will actively seek help.
• Participate in the establishment and continuous review and improvement of Business Analysis standards, procedures, and processes that support the general competencies outlined in the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) as appropriate for position.
• Understand business process modeling notation and techniques, as well as process improvement methods and criteria.
• Support testing and UAT activities.
• Drive the preparation of various documents such as detailed, Business Cases, requirements documentation, business process models, test scripts, for the ATB Solution Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) framework.
• Develop internal and external meeting objectives and agendas.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members and with members of functional teams.
• May support projects in maintaining project schedule, budget, work plan, KPIs, and other metrics.
• Maintain a current awareness of techniques, methodologies, and standards of Business Analysis.
• Proactively identify issues with workflows and processes; suggests improvements to leadership.
• Interpret and translate customers' needs and advise on possible solutions. Assist in the preparation of a high level project estimate and project timelines.
• Actively participate in Peer Review of team deliverables, contributing to the development of consistent and effective documentation that adheres to team standards and templates.
• Perform root cause analysis and SWOT Analysis.
• Communicate in a timely manner and escalate issues appropriately to Lead BA and/or Project Manager.

Requirements

• Advanced and broad knowledge of business issues, processes, and strategic planning, as well as IT resources and enabling technologies.
• Strong critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, to recognize and resolve complex issues and devise creative solutions.
• Effectively decompose high level scope down to tangible, workable low-level requirements and deliverables.
• ARIS business process mapping knowledge.
• 5+ years experience in business analysis, product management, or change management.
• Proficiency in data gathering, analytical thinking, and insights analysis.
• Working knowledge of Atlassian suite, including JIRA and Confluence is desired.
• Deep understanding of banking operation processes and tools in the loan, deposit, payments, investments and wires spaces, including SWIFT.
• An eagerness to learn and continuously improve our best practices.
• Proficiency using Google Suite software, particularly G-Mail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
• Comfortable with presenting and facilitating with large and diverse audiences.
• Ability to figure out a diverse set of options for a problem or find a way of looking at things differently.
• Advanced knowledge of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK).
• Apply strong analysis skills to lean into challenges to work with teams to develop solutions using Systems Thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to navigate challenging personalities and influence stakeholders.
• Advanced knowledge of Business Analysis tools and techniques and how they are effectively applied to specific business analysis needs.
• Flexible agile mentality to be able to pivot and adapt to change.
• Considerable customer service and task management experience.
• Proactive at identifying potentially critical and sensitive issues and effectively proposing solutions and recommendations.
• Experienced in security processes, standards, and supporting projects under the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
• IIBA certification (either ECBA, CCBA or CBAP) or Lean Six Sigma would be an asset.
• Thorough understanding of project management and business analysis methodologies.
