The Opportunity


Reporting to the Manager, Rehabilitation Services, and under the direction of the Clinical Leader, the Registration and Scheduling Clerk is responsible for patient scheduling, timely registration, and processing of patients with appointments in the Neurology Clinic. The Registration and Scheduling Clerk interacts with colleagues, patients, families, students, and partners in a respectful and collaborative manner, keeping with the principals of family centred care, and Health Centre standards to meet the needs of patients and families.


Hours of Work


8:30 a.m - 4:30 p.m.; Monday - Friday


Your Qualifications


  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs/technology required. Testing may be conducted on candidates.
  • Demonstrated ability to respectfully work with a variety of inter-professional team members required.
  • Knowledge of Neurology medical terminology an asset.
  • Previous experience in registration and scheduling required, preferably in a health care setting.
  • High degree of initiative, diligence, attention to detail, and self-discipline required.
  • Previous experience with Meditech and CWS preferred.
  • Demonstrated accurate keyboarding and data entry skills required. Testing will be conducted on short-listed candidates and results will be factored into the candidate’s overall suitability for this position.
  • Graduate of a recognized Office Administration Program an asset.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational and prioritization skills required.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Competency in other languages considered an asset
