B&R’s Region Directors conceive and plan a portfolio of trip itineraries, and act as the sales and planning expert for their assigned region(s). As an expert for our trips in Australia, you appreciate the laid-back and relaxed attitude of “slowing down to see the world” and combine your deep knowledge of trip design, sales, and operations with an immense passion for regional immersion to create incredible travel experiences. As a Region Expert, you pull it all together, adding a generous sprinkle of insider knowledge, awesome local contacts, and a touch of magic, for tailored travel experiences that fit like a glove.
Responsibilities
- Uphold trip planning and operational standards to the highest level; responding proactively to trip performance issues;
- Maximize revenue potential in the assigned region(s) through the design and sales of unique trips that consistently meet B&R’s standards of excellence;
- Assess and report on risks and the quality of all activities, events and related vendors;
- Support B&R’s Marketing and Sales teams in promoting the growth of the assigned region(s);
- Plan all logistics related to the trips, creating and ensuring the accuracy of relevant traveller-oriented written materials; provide your expertise, judgment, and advice to make any trip-related operational decisions;
- Other ad hoc trip planning, marketing and sales services.
- Be available for collaboration with B&R team of experts in all departments as required, and act as point of contact to provide information regarding your region to all B&R team members as required;
- Manage relevant written materials and operational documents that are required to support to your colleagues throughout the season;
- Engage with B&R’s administrative practices as required;
- Respond to traveller inquiries in a timely matter and provide the highest levels of customer experience throughout all traveller interactions;
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, and a confident presenter
- Strong skills in negotiation and diplomacy;
- Analytical and financial management skills;
- Relationship-building with strong interpersonal skills;
- Excellent problem-solving, and the ability to produce high-quality work with minimal supervision;
- Solid managerial and team building aptitude with ability to motivate others; and
- Ability to build cross-departmental cooperation and consensus;
Experience and Qualifications:
- Highly motivated and entrepreneurial spirit;
- Experience in the luxury travel industry, specifically sales, trip planning and execution;
- Deep knowledge of the Australian travel market, with experience planning and overseeing the execution of unique travel experiences;
- Experience collaborating and negotiating with local suppliers and partners.
