Job Description

The House of Commons’ Human Resources Services is currently looking to staff the Recruitment and Selection Officer position (ADG-F).

About the role

You will work as part of a collaborative team, to manage the recruitment processes for our high-volume Digital Services and Real Property portfolio, while also supporting project driven recruitment activities. You will be delegated responsibilities to perform some routine tasks associated with managing the full cycle of selected Recruitment and Selection processes. Your day to day will including meeting with clients to ensure a clear understanding of requirements, developing recruitment strategies, preparing job postings, sourcing, and screening applicants, and building a pipeline for hard to fill roles. You will also identify and develop assessment material, create interview guides, conduct preliminary interviews and candidate assessments, conclude employment offers and review letters of offer.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Successful completion of post-secondary education OR an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience.

Experience:

  • Experience in providing, coaching, and recommendations to hiring managers;
  • Experience conducting needs analysis and providing recommendations;
  • Solid understanding of IT roles, technologies, and terminologies;
  • Two (2) years of work experience as an IT Recruiter or in a similar role;
  • Experience in creating talent pipelines in various sectors and operationalizing a beginning to end recruitment process.

Assets:

  • Understanding of best practices and procedures within Human Resources;
  • Experience with a Talent Acquisition Suite.
