OVERVIEW

SNDL is looking for a dynamic candidate who leads responsibilities and relationships between the supply chain teams and the commercial team in the Cannabis Operations division of the business. This role will contribute to providing improved value/service to the customer and help support supply chain efficiency while offering clear accountability and transparency into customer performance via a single point of contact. Additionally, the role will focus on supply chain specific initiatives in efficient replenishment and availability identified through provincial customer collaboration. This position will be accountable for delivering enhanced service by driving the implementation and improvement of those initiatives and building deep relationships with the Customer, promoting SNDL as the supplier of choice.

Internal Relationships: Commercial - Retail Sales, Owned Retail Division, Operations, Demand Planning, Marketing, Finance


Scope of Role:

Accountable Commercial - Provincial Sales Activities:

  • Manage the Run-out plans with all cross functional teams in commercial and operations
  • Manage Return to Vendor process nationally
  • Supports the innovation forecasting process and Retail and Provincial teams in the execution of product launches, transitions, and discontinuations.
  • Support the routine and ad-hoc creation of reports and presentations needed for meetings with provincial board customers
  • Lead the Quarterly SKU Rationalization process
  • Work with Provincial & Strategy leadership teams to develop quarterly SKU list
  • Manage national weekly replenishment with provincial boards and other customers
  • Work with supply planning team on weekly product offers for each province
  • Use internal forecasts and planned programming to achieve ideal stock position and minimize stock outs with provincial demand planners. Leverage data transparency as an enabler of collaboration with external decision makers
  • Work with internal provincial managers and external provincial demand planners on the replenishment needs by province
  • Identify aged or excess inventory risks and collaborate with cross functional teams to develop sell through plans for mitigation (both internal inventory and in-market customer inventory)
  • Create and provide weekly offers to the provincial managers to share with the boards demand planners
  • Manage weekly inventory risks and SKU health – communicate to provincial managers and all internal stake holders

Accountable for Operations – Supply Chain and Logistics Engagement:

  • Implement solutions to align customer demand to constrained supply
  • Ensures full KPI alignment from customers liaising with key internal stakeholders to ensure daily and weekly service level targets are met
  • Contribute to the weekly production meetings to ensure optimal supply allocations are being made to deliver national and provincial board demand plan
  • Manage PO coordination with planning and fulfillment team
  • Partner with the supply chain team to ensure delivery of leading OTIF performance

Manage Demand Plan/Replenishment External Relationships

  • Manage the external relationship with provincial board customers and distributors to ensure proper information exchange, planning, and execution relative to replenishment
  • Manage weekly customer board inventory replenishment and inventory levels to minimize stock outs and resulting lost sales
  • Provide customer insights and customer intelligence to build an innovative and customer-centric partnership.


Build out the long-term Provincial Operations development strategy and organization requirements

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Advanced Customer Relationship Management and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience in financial analysis is an asset
  • Business acumen
  • Cannabis knowledge and experience in a manufacturing/CPG environment an asset
  • Influencing and negotiation skills
  • 5-10 years’ experience in key account selling, Project Management and/or highly regulated product operations.
  • Preferred Undergraduate Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics or Engineering
  • Medium to Advanced in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word), PowerBI and ERP programs
  • Cross functional experience preferred (ie. Manufacturing, inventory control, procurement, planning)
