Job Description

Program Coordinator- 12-month contract position


The PSG is looking to employ a Program Coordinator on a 12-month contract to begin June 2023. In this role, the eligible candidate must have a strong pulse of current activities within the drug and biomanufacturing industry and will be responsible for the development and execution of PSG training and events. Among other important skills, the ability to work seamlessly as part of a small team in a productive and efficient manner is of paramount importance. In addition, the Program Coordinator must possess excellent communication skills as well as the ability to multi-task effectively.


Essential Functions:

• Planning, coordination, and execution of PSG training content including workshops, webinars, conferences, and other industry specifics events. More specifically this primary task will involve deciding on training topics to be presented, booking venues and coordinating AV & catering, event moderating (as needed), supporting speakers and handling all other details involved in the launching of a successful event while ensuring profitability

• Continuously monitor updates throughout the Canadian pharmaceutical industry to source speakers and content for the PSG programming to reach quarterly targets

• Take on a key role in the coordination of PSG Headline events such as the annual conference (and in collaboration with relevant Steering Committees) including agenda development, speaker sourcing, event outreach and execution

• Manage and coordinate sponsorship packages and advertising space on PSG website

• Assist in the coordination of Committee and Board meetings

• Providing direct support to the Executive Director as needed


Computer Skills:

• MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams

• Creative Suite - Canva preferred

• Wordpress website plugin, LMS and MailChimp experience strongly preferred

• Zoom and other virtual meeting platform experience a bonus


Personal Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential while conducting themselves in a professional manner

• Well organized and a good multi-tasker with the ability to continually achieve target goals

• Ability to take initiative to meet and exceed goals of the organization are a bonus

• Candidate must be able to work remotely and independently under minimal supervision as well as be available to be onsite for all in-person meetings and events


Qualifications:

• Minimum college level diploma from an accredited institution in Life Science (or a related equivalent program)
