G3 (www.genuineguidegear.com), manufactures backcountry ski equipment. Founded in 1996, G3 products are now available in more than 20 countries. The G3 brand is known for developing award winning backcountry tools including alpine touring bindings, climbing skins, skis, and avalanche tools.
G3 earns the admiration of the backcountry community with each technically advanced product release. G3 is looking for a talented Production Manager to ensure all company products meet customer expectations.
The Role:
Lead the production team in delivering superior products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage staff scheduling
- Review, coordinate, and ensure department activities meet financial budget and goals
- Creating and implementing development plans for team members
- Work with multiple departments to meet customer requirements and team financial goals
- Identify and lead improvement opportunities and their implementation
- Upholding product quality by ensuring build processes and documentation are followed
- Other duties as necessary
- Ensure production capacity is used effectively to meet the production schedule
- Evaluate employee performance and provide constructive, effective feedback
- Assure the site meets all environmental and safety standards. Develop, implement, and enforce methods and processes that ensure a proactive safe work environment
- Implement, motivate, monitor, and support the G3 production team with an emphasis on championing department goals, objectives and improvement plans
- Provide overall management for production functions

Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Training in Lean Manufacturing– Certification Preferred
- Advanced knowledge of WMS, IMS, ERP systems
- Inventory management & year end practices
- Functional understanding of BOMs, Work Orders, Travellers
- Proven record of executing process improvements in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to recognize and solve practical problems
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred
- Competent computer skills including MS Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point, Outlook & ERP software (Sage EM)
- Successful implementation of Project management skills/experience
