About the role:

OAK + FORT Production Assistant plays a pivotal role assisting the Global Sourcing & Production department to ensure all Raw Materials and Samples are on time and meeting all quality standards. Working closely internally with the Technical development and Design teams and externally with our vendors, the Production Assistant will oversee areas of development, following the Product lifecycle calendar. The right candidate is highly analytical, detail oriented and has a strong background working in apparel production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the raw materials’ bulk trim and fabric submissions from vendors
• Working with the Design team to develop new trims from nominated trim suppliers when required
• Managing the WFX PLM system, supporting with the Production Managers and cross functional teams to ensure all comments and approval deadlines are met to ensure on time delivery of the finished goods
• Monitoring and reviewing weekly WIPs from vendors
• Coordinating sample management (Fit, PP, TOP)
• Lab dip management
• Assisting the Production Managers with Finished Goods Purchase Orders using Netsuite

Requirements:

• Strong IT skills are required (Outlook, Excel)
• Ability to build partnerships with suppliers, factories and internal partners
• Excellent and verbal communication with the ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner
• Successful candidates will be expected to adhere to and support Oak + Fort’s corporate policies regarding attendance and behaviour
• Quick thinking and problem-solving skills
• Detail orientated with ability to prioritize and manage workload with cross functional partners.
• Vertical specialty retail experience is advantageous.
• BA/BS Degree or equivalent in a related field
