Graphics Designer 2 - Apparel And Accessories

Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:As the Designer 2 – Graphics you contribute to the creation and production of the 2D and 3D assets for our seasonal product expressions. You have the unique opportunity to help influence the brand, from both a macro and micro design perspective. You assist in everything from on-garment branding, print and pattern programs, seasonal t-shirt and accessories graphics, all the way down to the finest details in product labeling and trims.

This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Colour & Graphics Team is a hub that links the product design and visual merchandising process with the guest experience. We balance creativity, design, process, and logistics to ensure the successful execution of the Arc’teryx colour and graphics design philosophy.

If you were the Designer 2 - Graphics now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

• Supporting Design leaders with all on-product branding communications and supports in the creation and maintenance of all on product standards
• Creating and maintaining trims; labels, embroidery, and branding artwork files
• Providing templates, support and direction for Designers on internal and external communication tools and assets
• Researching and developing graphics mood and concept boards
• Partnering with the Product team to review print, graphics, and communication tools
• Creating and maintaining tech packs and Bill of Materials Data (BOMs)
• Working closely with the Design team on the execution of the seasonal t-shirt and accessories program, from concept to delivery, for all on-product graphics
• Fostering a culture of inspiration, creativity, collaboration and accountability
• Collaborating cross-functionally, in particular with the core Product teams (Design, Merchandising and Sourcing) throughout the product life-cycle

Are you our next Designer 2 - Graphics?

• You have a college degree or diploma in Design, and 3+ years’ experience in a graphics or communication role
• You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
• You have an excellent eye for colour
• You have the ability to manage time independently and efficiently across multiple projects and overlapping seasons to complete projects on time
• You are highly process-oriented
• You have advanced skills in Adobe CS
• You have strong written and spoken English communication skills
• You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
• You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
• You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
• Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
• You have a strong graphics sense, communication and presentation skills
• You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
