The Screen Printer Position

This is a fast paced, creative, and unique job that is both challenging and rewarding.You’ll train alongside our lead screen printer to learn the ropes. You’ll perfect all aspects of the printing process including properly setting up a print job, trouble shooting issues on the fly, and nailing a perfect print for our clients. Stepping away from the printing press, you’ll be involved in other duties on the production floor like mixing ink colours, cleaning and reclaiming screens and shipping and receiving.If you are the type of person who enjoys collaborating as part of a successful team and contributing daily to the overall success of the business, then this is the job for you!

Typical duties may include some or all of the following, although being a small business work may vary day to day.

·Reviewing work orders to successfully set up and print jobs on both manual and automatic screen-printing presses.

·Operate and monitor the automatic press and adjust as needed throughout print runs.

·Set up, burn and reclaim screens.

·Mix and load inks.

·Clean and maintain printing machinery.

·Complete screen printing setup sheets.

·Communicate effectively with account managers and designers to ensure orders are completed successfully and on time.

·Experience is an asset, but for the right candidate training will be provided.

·Ability to prioritise and balance multiple tasks within deadlines.

·Be an effective problem solver and collaborator.

·Ability to plan with a pro-active approach.

·You will need to be physically fit as this position requires standing for periods of time, moving about quickly and lifting.
