We work hybrid at Plenty of Fish - IRL in our downtown Vancouver office Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and work remotely the remainder of the week!

As the Motion Graphics and Visual Communication Designer you will be responsible for all graphic and visual communications associated with our booming Live Streaming feature. You will get to create and develop a visual language that will be used on stream, on POF Live and in promotional materials, presentations and institutional videos.

So, what will you do?

Develop an original creative vision and design style to be used throughout the Plenty of Fish Live Streaming feature, and to solve marketing challenges

Propose, plan, design, and present a full range of high-impact motion graphics for Live Streaming gift animations (to be seen by users on screen) and in-app communications

Create original graphics for weekly promotional materials such as in-app contests, banners, featured original content, institutional videos and external promotional materials for Plenty of Fish Live Streaming

Conceive and create logos and branding for different internal projects

Create original 2D/3D characters based on streamers’ likeness

Oversee freelancers who will support design and video production

Conceptualize and storyboard videos, review scripts and attend brainstorming sessions to plan for shoots and how to support the storyline with motion editing and design

Work with a wide array of typography and different uses of typographical communication for digital media and live streaming

Work in a variety of video specs including PAL, NTSC, various codecs, quicktime, mxf files and more

Work in close collaboration with stakeholders and project managers throughout all phases of project development, including collecting, analyzing and providing data-based insights about effectiveness of creative work reporting on project status

You'll be a match for this role if you have..

An online portfolio and recent reel of design work including motion graphics and character design and animation

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail

Experience owning design responsibilities end to end

Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, and Photoshop and in at least one 3D motion design tool such as Cinema 4D or similar

Understanding of broadcast and digital distribution best practices including technical aspects of production, as well as basic videography/production skills

Knowledge of the Content Creator culture

A deep interest in owning, creating and developing a graphic style and language for new media
