Production Engineering Software Developer

CMG is seeking a Production Engineering Software Developer - CoFlow to join our CoFlow team. This is a full-time, permanent position. CMG is seeking an engineering software developer to join our CoFlow product team. CoFlow combines reservoir and production engineering simulation technologies to improve the overall productivity of engineering workflows for large integrated assets, allowing oil companies to better understand and develop petroleum resources with a unified approach. The successful candidate will be a member of a small development team responsible for the technologies related to CoFlow’s wells and production engineering capabilities.

Responsibilities

Working as part of the CoFlow team, under the direction of the Uncertainty and Optimization Lead, the successful candidate will work in a small vertical team of engineering software professionals to help fulfill the team’s responsibilities, including the design, development, and maintenance of novel approaches to simulating wells and surface networks coupled with reservoir models.

Qualifications

• Willingness to contribute to improving development process.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development is a plus.
• Possess good time management and communication skills both in written and verbal English.
• Experience developing engineering software, particularly in the area of generating and solving large systems of equations. Experience with production engineering is a plus.
• Ability to work with other CoFlow teams, understand the needs of the reservoir and production engineers who will be using CoFlow, and help develop clear specifications for new software features and acceptance tests/criteria for releases.
• Team focused with a positive attitude, must be self-motivated, and have very good time management and communication skills both in written and verbal English.
• Experience being a team player with excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.
