The Role: Markit Digital Software Engineer Internship
The Team: We design, develop, and host data rich, full featured, high traffic web and mobile applications for financial institutions, brokerages, and media clients around the world. We use modern API-driven client-side rendered frameworks and .NET serverside rendered applications to deliver custom user interfaces that complement our clients' existing brand. With access to thousands of in-house data feeds, we utilize highly leveraged service tier applications to create solutions that delight our customers. Working in an agile and highly collaborative environment, our teams join together as one to deliver world class products.

Responsibilities: As an intern with our team, you will undertake work on a real business project intended to add value as well as provide you with a great learning opportunity.
Software Engineers design, develop, validate, and bring new products to market. As part of an agile team, you will envision, groom, and commit to building new features or enhancing current functionality in sprint cadence. You will add to our test suites and demonstrate completed stories to our stakeholders and clients. You will look for ways to innovate and enhance our products and processes.
You will have the opportunity to experience a high-level of collaboration and cross-training on a wide range of applications. We offer a tight-knit development team that is accustomed to helping one another learn and excel while making large contributions to the Markit Digital back-end infrastructure.
What We’re Looking For

• Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn new things, techniques, and technologies
• Quality assurance
• An aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
• The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting
• Be legally eligible to work for the duration of the program in the country for which you apply
• An understanding and/or interest in any of the following:
• Excellent communication skills
• Relational databases
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience with one or many of the following languages: SQL, C#, Python, Java, or C++
• Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field completed no later than May 2024
• Software development methodologies

Grade/Level (relevant for internal applicants only): 5
The Location: Boulder, Colorado, Calgary, Canada. Position will be Hybrid
Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates):
S&P Global states that the anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $21 to $30. Final salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.
