Akkodis is partnered with a global leading provider of fleet management services to recruit an EV Charging Product Manager to join a growing team here in Canada. As the part of the EV team, you will work closely with the Director for EV and Sustainability Strategy to develop new products and services related to EVs. From supporting the development of EV products, providing on-going product management, supporting customer-specific EV initiatives, to contributing to thought leadership strategies in this space.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Interface with clients to identify specific EV and charging use-cases and evolve product roadmap and recommendations for getting detailed infrastructure designed and rolled-out.
- Maintain working knowledge of EV industry news, events, and announcements, including current industry best practices related to electrification.
- Lead the continuous improvement of internal processes related to EV products and services, including working with internal sourcing teams to manage vendors and assessing vendors to identify top and low-performing ecosystem partners.
- Supporting the development of fleet EV services and products, including EV program development, infrastructure implementation services, internal process development, and stakeholder alignment.
- Developing and implementing products and services to support a variety of client-specific depot charging infrastructure needs, including build-to-own, CaaS, etc.
- Support and develop material for conferences, panels, whitepapers, blogs, one-pagers, etc.
The ideal candidate will have a combination of the below skill set:
- 4+ years of proven work experience in the EV space, preferably in strategy, product development, or consulting/client advisory roles.
- Client relationship management skills (critical for success in this role).
- Ability to work effectively in a business environment characterized by complexity, ambiguity, and rapid change.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or a technical/engineering field, or be able to demonstrate equivalent work experience. (Advanced degree in business preferred).
- Utility and energy management experience is ideal.
- Demonstrated product and technical knowledge related to EV charging hardware, infrastructure, and energy management.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge related to EV charging hardware, infrastructure, and energy management.
- Experience in developing content for publication is preferred.
