We are seeking an experienced People and Culture & Office Manager to join our Toronto team. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating all HR activities for our company and will play an integral role in supporting PointsBet’s continued growth and success.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN


  • Responsible for developing and maintaining performance review program and working with the global HR team on its development and execution.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Develop, implement and refine HR policies and procedures that ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for compensation reviews.
  • Conduct recruitment efforts for all positions, including writing and posting job descriptions, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and managing the hiring process including collaborating with hiring managers to identify the skills and qualities required for each position and provide guidance on candidate selection.
  • Act as office manager to ensure office necessities are provided including but not limited to kitchen stocking, light cleaning, and ordering of supplies.
  • Maintains employee benefits programs and other offerings and programs.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary action.
  • Develop and implement training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Responsible for fostering culture of the organization and organizing and coordinating social events.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure that all HR-related documents are properly maintained.


SKILLS WE SEEK


  • Experience with HR software and tools, including applicant tracking systems and HRIS.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Must be in our Toronto office 3 days per week – Monday, Tuesday and Thursday are mandatory. Our office is in close proximity to public transit.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration or a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR management, with a focus on recruitment functions.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
