Pensions & Benefits Assistant Jobs

Reporting to the Manager, Pensions & Retiree Benefits, the Pensions & Benefits Assistant will support all areas within the Pensions & Benefits Team. This position will provide assistance to pension and retiree benefit related administration.
Responsibilities

• Assist with the file digitalization project
• Understand and administer retiree health plans
• Other duties as assigned
• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Assist with retiree and surviving spouse set-up in the HRIS system and other pension related tasks
• Liaise with plan participants and benefit providers to resolve health benefit claim issues
• Assist with the pensioner audit project
• Provide administrative support and services as required
• Perform pension calculations and prepare member statements

Qualifications

• Excellent computer competency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
• A self-starter who is organized, detail oriented and focused on accuracy
• Past HR related work experience is an asset
• Highly organized with the ability to execute multiple priorities with attention to detail
• Effective communication skills, oral and written
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
