Customer Service Representative duties and responsibilities

Knowledgeable in the area of group renewals and claims experience (required).

Provide administrative support to the firm’s Group Benefits Account Managers.

Maintain thorough knowledge of product/services offered by various group insurance carriers.

Minimum Education: Completion of Secondary School. Completion of some college or other post-secondary programs preferred.

Minimum Experience: At least 2-5-years’ experience in a group insurance support role.

Thorough knowledge of group insurance products and/or services.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, product knowledge, and regulatory changes

Preferred: Licensed with LLQP (Life License Qualification Program)

Must have at least 2-3 years experience in Disability Management and Benefits; experience in a retail environment would be an asset

Communicate regularly with third party providers (ie., insurance, WSIB) on cases and update Human Resources and management

College/University degree in Human Resources, Disability Management or related field

The Qualifications and Experience we like to see:

Coordinate and proactively manage assigned occupational injury claims (WCB/WSIB) and update payroll and case documents to associate profile

Coordinate with insurance providers and managers on gradual return to work plans where restrictions/accommodations are recommended

Liaise with plan participants and benefit providers to resolve health benefit claim issues

Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills

Past HR related work experience is an asset

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Effective communication skills, oral and written

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures

Explain policy features, benefits, and premiums to clients and answer any questions they may have.

You are a designated Accountant with 7+ years of relevant post-qualification work experience.

Will lead the preparation of Canadian and US Pension and OPEB plan financial documents.

Own the preparation and review of note disclosure for pension and OPEB plans in quarterly/annual financial documents for public reporting issuers.

Own the preparation of monthly pension accounting journal entries and quarterly account reconciliations.
