The Opportunity
To help continue fuel our growth, we are looking for a customer focused, goal-oriented, high-energy, Data Analyst to expand our Data Analytics team. Our Data Analytics team is responsible for data analysis, visualization, and outcome-based recommendations for our enterprise customers. This role will report into the Customer Success Manager. This is a full-time position in our downtown Vancouver HQ, walking distance from shops, restaurants, and public transit. Compensation is based on experience and includes stock options and benefits.
As a part of our Data Analytics team, you will:

• Analyze and apply critical thinking to assess, determine options, and make outcome-based recommendations
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including sensitivity in all communications with clients
• Visualize findings in a variety of charts, interactive dashboards, and/or written reports
• Analyze data to identify trends, exceptions, and areas for further investigation
• Create data analysis reports for our enterprise customers to translate complex information in a clear, meaningful and structured way

We’re Looking For Someone Who Has

• Proficient in MS Excel; able to perform pivot tables, pivot charts, and advanced functions in MS Excel and other visualization tools
• Knowledge of at least one or more of the following analytic libraries: Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, matplotlib, scikit-learn, or statsmodel.
• Experience in gathering, cleaning, analyzing, and reporting on data; including a demonstrated ability to identify appropriate statistical analysis for large datasets, visualization for the data, and measurement objectives.
• Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Strong intellectual curiosity to stay in sync with learning new technologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• 2 years or more experience with a scripting language such as Python or R in a combination of a professional and/or self-taught environment.
• Bachelor degree in a quantitative area such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science or Engineering, or a business degree with a quantitative specialization.
• 2 years or more experience working with relational databases in a SQL/MySQL environment.

It’s a Bonus If You Have

• Previous experience developing requirements, building and managing data visualization tools
• Previous experience working in an environment that must adhere to regulatory compliance requirements
• Knowledge in utilizing JIRA, Confluence, and BitBucket
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
• Knowledge in building ETL pipelines
• Github of data analytics/data science coursework or other projects
