Note: This is a part-time temporary Support position (up to 24 hours per week) until March 29, 2024.

Duties: Under the supervision of the Manager, Employment Services, Community Employment Services London, the Part-time Job Developer assists clients to obtain placements leading to employment. Incumbent works directly with employers to identify opportunities and to create openings based on the needs of the client group.

There are 3 vacancies, supporting individuals participating in the Carpentry, Automotive Tech and Welding Pre-Apprenticeship programs being offered through Fanshawe Corporate Training Solutions. The incumbent works as part of the Employment Services team.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary 2-year diploma in a Human Resources background, Marketing or Career Counselling
• Preference will be given to candidates with a strong knowledge of the local labour market/business community in London and area
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
• Minimum 3 years’ Marketing, Job Development or Recruiting experience
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail
