The incumbent is responsible for friendly, efficient service following all Algonquin College Food Services operating standards, policies, and procedures.
Counter Service Assistant - To provide friendly and efficient counter service and food production while maintaining hygienic work area. The incumbent will assist in stocking and cleaning of area tools when necessary.
Duties And Responsibilities
Counter Service Assistant

• Stocks product, sweeps area, empties garbage, and washes location dishes when required;
• Serves on food line and operates cash register as required.
• Prepares food in an efficient and friendly manner as per customer request while ensuring a clean and sanitized work area;

Required Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skill;
• Experience handling cash if applying for cashier positions an asset;
• Ability to work independently and/or in a team atmosphere;
• Knowledge in kitchen sanitation and safety standards an asset.
• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and stock a variety of merchandise;
• Ability of providing speedy, efficient, courteous and tactful service;
• Secondary School (Grade 12) diploma;
• Ability to work effectively under pressure;

Saturday and Sunday: 11:00am – 4:00pm
P18677 (Part Time Counter Service Assistant)
Monday: 11:00am to 5:30pm
Tuesday: 11:00am to 5:30pm
Friday: 9:00am to 2:30pm
P17178 (Part Time Counter Assistant)
Monday - Tuesday - Thursday - Friday 4:00pm-10:30pm
