Role Purpose
The Paid Social Manager is a strategic and hands on leader responsible for the development of the Paid Social marketing strategy; creating and embedding a business culture where continuous improvement is initiated and embraced. This person is responsible for executing the strategy and reporting results to higher management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Paid Social accounts and campaigns to achieve optimal return on investment ensuring that the accounts are always in line with recent updates and include all valuable features.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners to ensure cutting-edge acquisition techniques are deployed, market opportunities are realized and technology changes/vision is shared with the wider business regularly.
- Proactively identify market and strategic opportunities across the Paid Social market to drive increased value from new and existing customers.
- Support the Content Team developing strategies to amplify content across social media platforms.
- Responsible for ensuring that all promotional materials are compliant, appropriate, and competitive at all times; responsible for strict adherence to advertising standards and for working with compliance and legal teams to evolve guidelines and working practices to ensure compliance.
- Proactively develop programs, strategies and creative/promotional techniques that resonate with the target customers and business goals.
- Responsible for creative strategy to optimize performance by channel.
- Day-to-day management of the Paid Social budgets, targets and daily performance.
- Accountable for managing Paid Social and working closely with other marketing leaders to complete fact-based assessment on future model(s) for Paid Social management – including delivery of Paid Social strategies on Meta, X, Snapchat, Reddit, and TikTok.
- Propose spend, CPA and ROAS targets by social media platform and tactic each month as part of the overall marketing mix and complete weekly and monthly reports highlighting performance vs target, actions to address under/over performance and recommendations for following month(s).
- Work closely with the BI team to optimize visit-deposit funnel performance and implement initiatives to improve overall experience and ROI.
- Responsible for delivering the Paid Social marketing strategy, including bidding/automated bid strategies and cost management, forecasting and planning, creative execution and placement.
Specialist Skills and Experience Required
- Proven track record of optimizing 3rd party relationships with high profile suppliers (e.g. Meta, X, Snapchat, Reddit, and TikTok)
- Proven analytical capability and deep understanding of BI/data analytics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Minimum C2/Native English)
- Experience in App Campaigns and MMPs (e.g. AppsFlyer)
- Strategic thinker with outstanding problem solving and project management skills
- Knowledge of attribution techniques
- Results oriented individual with focus on delivery, agility and control
- Experience of managing budgets in significant scale and demonstrating agility and flexibility in spend and target allocation
- Genuine ability to cope with ambiguity and drive a business experiencing considerable change
- 4 years of experience in Paid Social including proven experience of working with Meta, X, Snapchat, Reddit, and TikTok
- Strong understanding of digital advertising legislation and codes of practice
- Identify tracking problems
