What We Are Looking For
As a member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for supporting the coordination and facilitation of patient flow in out patient laboratory. In this role you will utilize your goal-orientated, client centered approach to care.
You are someone who can work in a fast paced environment and can prioritize multiple competing priorities and can critically problem solve to ensure that an efficient clinic flow is maintained.
What You Will Achieve With Us

• Exercise judgement and independence to upkeep patient flow in Outpatient Laboratory.
• Works with Laboratory Manager, Operational Leader, Senior Lab Technician and others as required.
• Ensure patient is properly registered and lab orders are entered
• Liaise with Clinics and Physician offices to ensure patients need are met
• Ensure
• Managing and ordering of supplies and print shop materials
• Ensure data integrity is maintained
• Scheduling: Work with Operation Leader in managing daily staffing challenges (this will include managing sick calls, calling staff in with tracking, filling weekly holes, shift giveaways/exchanges)
• Monitor and follow-up on scheduling and registration errors

What You Bring To The Role

• Demonstrated good attendance record with the ability to maintain this same standard
• Experience in an outpatient clinic setting
• Superior communication (verbal and written) skills and ability to effect strong public relations with staff, physicians, physician offices, patients, volunteers, WSIB and network coordinators
• High attention to detail is required
• Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required.
• Proven MS office proficiency (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Minimum 2 year relevant administrative hospital experience
• Must demonstrate high initiative and efficiency
• Demonstrated excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to facilitate and coordinate efficient flow of a busy work environment
• Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to think independently to proactively
• Demonstrate a high degree of energy, enthusiasm, initiative, self direction and the ability to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Experience with complex scheduling system
• Anticipate the needs of the program
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Previous experience as a resource to both internal and external stakeholders
• Proven well-developed customer-service focus
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in work and be able to problem solve

Compensation
Band R: $27.60 - $32.97 per hour
