RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide chemical analysis and control of the plating bath solutions at the required testing intervals

* Provide chemical analysis and control of auxiliary solutions in the plating shop at their required testing intervals; to develop analytical procedures

* Perform hydrogen detection analysis of the titanium-cadmium and cadmium plating solutions at their required intervals

* Perform stress tests of sulfamate nickel plating solution and to control additions to the sulfamate nickel tanks to meet plating production requirements

* Perform analysis of the wastewater effluent discharged into sanitary sewers from the plating shop; develop and maintain SQC charts and logs; develop and maintain logs of all chemical analyses

* Address environmental concerns as required by Federal and Provincial Ministries of the Environment, as well as the local municipalities bylaws

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* College diploma in Chemistry; with a minimum of 6 years" experience in an electro-plating shop, preferably in the aerospace industry.

* Quality control experience

* Familiar with auto titrator, UV-VIS spectrometer, Ion chromatograph, polygraph, ICP equipment

* Execute statistical quality control analysis and maintain the appropriate log and charts

* Familiar with personal computer data processing software

* Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Certificate in industrial wastewater treatment management would be considered an asset
