Role Description
Position: Operations Manager (Part-Time, Hybrid)
Location: Kelowna, BC (Some remote work acceptable)
About the Role:
The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our vacation property management business. This position involves overseeing various tasks that contribute to the quality and efficiency of our services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess inventory for property restocking requirements.
- Engage in sales activities, including the commission-based acquisition of new property owners.
- Craft two LinkedIn posts (one personal, one business-related).
- Maintain up-to-date check-in and check-out instructions.
- Monitor property listings on VRBO, Airbnb, and our website for accuracy and updates.
- Conduct email marketing campaigns targeting previous guests.
- Cultivate positive owner relations through newsletters, listing insights, and data analysis.
- Proactively contact guests before their arrival to ensure a seamless experience.
- Communicate with cleaning staff via calls or texts to confirm their punctuality.
- Add new recipes to enhance guest experiences.
- Regularly review our website for glitches and report issues.
- Respond promptly to messages and inquiries from guests.
- Create personalized welcome notes for guests.
- Review and enhance property listings to ensure accurate descriptions and house rules.
- Write engaging blog posts (word count flexible).
- Directly coordinate with relevant departments (accounting, reservations, and Shervin) by sourcing emails.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Experience in the vacation rental industry is a plus.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Prior experience in operations management or related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
