Job Description
Fountain Tire is looking for an Operations Assistant to support the efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse office and to assist management with the implementation of a new software at our Acheson Warehouse (9633 266 St, Acheson, AB).


Wage $25/hour


This is a Monday-Friday (800am – 430pm) position with normal business hours in a warehouse environment. The Operations Assistant will be expected to


  • Ensuring all associates complete the appropriate training modules necessary for the job.
  • Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and quarterly inventory counts.
  • Process carrier, vendor and store discrepancy claims.
  • Assist in day to day warehouse operations.
  • Assist with transitioning from Microsoft DAX to MS365.
  • Entering inventory into DAX & MS365
  • Assisting production by searching and identifying SKUs that do not scan.
  • Assist the software implementation team by testing the new software application – MS365.
  • Posting daily movement journals in DAX & MS365
  • Customer facing front counter duties – checking customers in and out (starting work orders and finalizing) and answering questions.
  • Releasing picking lists to ship product accurately and on time based on commitments made to the customer.
  • Coordinate the processing of outgoing products; preparing manifest in a timely manner to meet delivery deadlines, arranging transportation of materials as required, ensuring tracking of outgoing product is accurate, and achieving customer commitments.
  • Answering emails and phone calls.
  • Daily entering of the KPI Report.
  • Work with contracted freight companies to manage shipping discrepancies, and to ensure on time delivery of product to customers.
  • Coordinate Warehouse activities.
  • Manage and maintain general office filing system always ensuring easy access and availability.
  • Learn, adapt & train staff on new software application - MS365.
  • Entering employee hours and shift differentials for payroll as needed.
  • Tracking shipments & Invoices.

We are looking for a versatile candidate who has


  • Business or Administration degree or diploma required.
  • A customer service approach with the ability to meet deadlines and provide solutions to time sensitive matters.
  • Able to travel to other DC locations in Canada to support / train (occasionally).
  • Proficient use of various office based software including Microsoft Office.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision; this includes organization, time management and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
  • Previous experience gathering and analyzing information.
  • DAX and/or MS365 experience would be an asset.
  • 2-3 years previous work experience in a management role in a warehouse setting.
  • Working knowledge of Scan guns would be an asset.
  • 2-3 years of previous work experience in a bookkeeping or general office environment.
