Description


Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.


Summary


The Office Administrator is responsible for a wide variety of clerical office duties in support of company administration. This includes coordinating and communicating office activities, greeting and screening visitors, answering and referring inbound telephone calls, and scheduling appointments.


Location: Acheson, AB (5-10 minute drive from West Edmonton)


Job Type:Full-time – Permanent


Schedule:Monday – Friday (7:30AM to 4:00PM)


Job Duties


  • Maintain the appearance of public areas (front desk and boardroom)
  • Send, receive, and distribute mail (including priority post, packages, and courier services)
  • Ensure that appropriate evacuation procedures are carried out in the event of an emergency
  • Type forms, letters, reports, and memos as required
  • Answer, screen, and direct phone calls
  • Complete expenses for managers
  • Provide backup for other admin positions
  • Order and maintain office supplies
  • Other duties as requested by management
  • Present a positive and professional image of the company to all visitors, suppliers, inquirers, and other interactions
  • Welcome visitors and provide direction as necessary


Qualifications/Skills


  • Possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Relay information accurately
  • Superior telephone manners
  • High School Diploma and Office Administration Certificate, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • One year to three years of office administration experience
