Our well-established client in Woodbridge has partnered with Kelly Services to recruit for a Marketing Manager to join as a fulltime member of their team. The client is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to implement and manage a formal Marketing strategy, including Marketing and Communications, for corporate and brand development, and wholesale business units for the food chain across Canada and the US.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage customer-driven new product development, from expectation to alignment, innovation, through to presenting product concepts to retail and industrial buyers
- Increase presence and market share by promoting our products (commodities and blends) into food applications i.e., food service
- Arrange regional consumer product trials as part of R&D process
- Source Marketing Agencies for the execution of brand/product plans (i.e., Packaging, Graphics, including marketing initiatives etc.)
- Oversee promotional materials and programs, company website and social media presence while adhering to governance standards and compliance with regulations
- Create short and long-term marketing/product plan and budgets for various market groups (industrial, foodservice, retail), by determining plan requirements, researching competitive analysis, conducting SWOT analysis and current business reviews
- Participate in the development of annual marketing plans and deliver corporate growth and target profit objectives
- Manage sales tools. i.e., sell sheets, marketing calendars, etc. to help facilitate sales growth
- Participate in developing an integrated marketing plan to maximize use of ingredients and materialize on branded product development, co-packing, private label, and wholesale opportunities
- Launch new products while defining guidelines for building brands including enhancing product and corporate brand proposition through strategic showcases / events
- Research new product ideas by consulting with customers, reviewing trade information, and utilizing research to provide input for new product formulations/ ingredient blends and customers for future growth opportunities
- Establish action plans enabling Account Management and R&D teams to track product development projects and customer opportunities
- Create presentations for customers that target their growth strategies
- Research customers and competitors, market trends and market intelligence
- Provide idea and inputs on product specifications – design, colour, packaging
- Lead new product launches from development to launch
- Devise pricing strategy for different markets / consumers
- Define guidelines for corporate brand, increase organization brand evaluation through structured branding and communication initiatives
Qualification Requirements:
- Ability to travel on occasions where in-person to showcases and trade shows
- Digital content creation and management, including tracking marketing results and ROI
- Marketing operations and corporate communications roles
- Excellent writing and communication skills a must
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing management or related field required
- Experience from industrial, production environment, food manufacturing an asset
- Proficient in MS Office Programs
- 7+ years of experience in progressively responsible marketing strategy,
