Reporting to the Communications & Marketing Manager, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for supporting business development initiatives, including client events, conferences, and tradeshows as required. The successful candidate is responsible for preparing marketing materials and creating engaging content for social media.
This position is based in the Richmond, BC office.
What You’ll Be Working On
  • Support the overall brand and maintenance of Vancouver SharePoint page.
  • Manage digital assets and marketing administration.
  • Support corporate marketing initiatives and Executive team as required.
  • Assist in the development of the marketing collateral, in support of the project teams.
  • Support and execute employee/staff engagement initiatives as required.
  • Support with the creation and distribution of all company-wide messaging to office and field employees.
  • Assist with the design and coordination of corporate advertisements.
  • Assist and coordinate events, as required.
  • Prepare marketing collateral (advertisements, one-pagers, brochures, posters, and general graphic design) and presentation materials (print and digital forms) while following brand standards to ensure consistent look and feel for all documents.
  • Travel to local construction sites for meetings, photo/video shoots, etc.
  • Support internal Town Hall meetings and other internal events, field celebrations, etc.
  • Create and execute content for social media, communications, email marketing, and newsletter.
  • Help to manage and organize the receipts related to marketing expenses.
  • Support Staff recognition and Service Award for the hourly staff.
  • Liaise with Corporate Communications to ensure consistency of brand and marketing information.
  • Support and execute business development initiatives (client events, conferences, tradeshows, etc.) as required.
What We Are Looking For (Marketing)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, organizational skills and customer service mindset
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Constant Contact, SharePoint an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
  • Experience with graphic design
  • Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a positive attitude
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in challenging, fast paced environment
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a marketing or communications capacity
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business Administration or Communications is an asset
  • Minimum travel may be required
  • Some overtime may be required
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
