Overview

O’Rourke Family Estate (OFE) is a 300-acre property with panoramic views of surrounding orchards, vineyards, rolling mountains and the glistening water of Okanagan Lake. Inspired by Europe’s most famous wineries, the property features 110 acres of vines, 300 metres of winding tunnels and 12,000 square-feet of cave space to store and age wines. Peak Cellars is located on a 7-acre property down the road from OFE, and is home to our Goldie Road Vineyard. Wine isn’t the only thing the property produces; the half-acre organic vegetable garden and two greenhouses supply the highest quality fruits and vegetables for the Garden Bistro.

We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our incredible team of wine and food lovers.

Role scope

The scope of the Marketing and Communications role includes two core areas of focus

• Direct to consumer and trade marketing
• Content curation and branding

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of each core area of focus include

• Contribute to content creation for all winery brands through content writing, photography and graphic design.
• Assist in maintaining and updating corporate websites, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information and e-commerce flows smoothly.
• Develop and maintain a social media strategy, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn and X, including a content calendar and measurement metrics.
• Distribute content such as newsletters to blogs to internally and externally.
• Assist with industry and community associations and events.
• Develop and maintain a positive and timely presence on customer review sites such as Trip Advisor and Google.
• Support teams across the winery to ensure all messaging, experiences, and content are aligned with corporate messaging and goals.
• Assist the Sales teams, Wine Club and Winery with promotional materials.

The ideal candidate is

• Able to manage time efficiently and has strong attention to detail.
• Able to operate in high pressure environment and remain calm and focused in urgent situations.
• Able to use insights and benchmarks to position OFE as a top wine destination in the Okanagan.
• Holds or is will to work towards holding a Serving it Right certification.
• Proven track record with successful content development and scheduling for social media platforms.
• Dedicated to providing personalized and professional service and to showcasing the local region and estate offerings.
• Proficient with designing marketing materials for both digital and print platforms, ensuring brand consistency.
• Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or graphic and web design.
• Holds or is willing to work towards holding a WSET designation.
