Title: Manufacturing Manager
Location: Alberta, Canada
Duration: Full Time Employment
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and contribute to a technical network inside and outside of the Organization
- Support site hazard studies, risk review, SIL verifications, etc.
- Administer engineering professional requirements for the team as required by local legislation.
- Provide senior technical representation for site issues and opportunities.
- Define and manage the safe (and normal) operating window, basis of safety and alarm management system for production cells as part of the site’s overall process safety management system
- Management of technical team and their engagement and motivation which includes ensuring their training and development, performance management, reward and recognitions, etc.
- Manage the overall technical support provided to the site for production, maintenance, SHEC, projects, procurement, supply chain and broader business activities.
- Manage administration of the Manufacturing Center’s Management of Change system including final approval of all change proposals for implementation and close out.
- Collaborate with the global technical team, engineering and asset management team as required.
- Manage the overall performance and lifecycle of DCS and SIS systems.
- The Technical Manager will ensure that safety, health, and the environment procedures are adhered to by all members of the technical team
- Review and signoff of RCA for process and control events.
- Join the Technical Managers Community of Practice with the purpose of collaborating on best practice, method standardization and improvement relevant to the position and requirements.
- Management of the site engineering documentation including DCS, SIS, PFD, ELDs, P&IDs.
- Ensure laboratory analytic requirements for the site are met.
- Define and deliver the site Continuous Improvement Program for process technology.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internal and external
- Excellent management, communication and leadership skills
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering and 4+ years’ experience in Engineering
- Minimum 10 years Manufacturing experience with at least 3 years in senior operations preferred
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is between [CAD140K - CAD160K per year] with incentives based on sales. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
