Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION


We are currently looking for a full-time Manager, People and Culture (PCM) to join our hard-working team at CTC. This position will be responsible for recruitment, onboarding, and measurement/maintenance of overall employee satisfaction. This role requires a keen sense of learning, a passion for creating a people-oriented organizational culture, and a long-term vision for the growth of the function. Most importantly, the individual hired for this role will embody our company values: supportive, driven, resourceful, transparent.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Recruitment Management

  • Organize a pipeline of potential hires for prospective job openings.
  • Manage the CTC LinkedIn and Indeed accounts.
  • Be actively involved in recruitment of people resources.
  • Prepare job descriptions, post ads, and manage the hiring process.

General Human Resources

  • Manage employee development programs that support employees with their personal/professional goals.
  • Create and implement effective onboarding and training plans.
  • Develop and implement HR initiatives and systems.
  • Build and manage updates to agreements for contract workers.
  • Oversee peer recognition program using Assembly platform.
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues.
  • Maintain employee records (extended leaves, vacation, sick days, etc.) according to policy and legal requirements.
  • Lead performance management processes and competency framework development.
  • Develop, rollout and maintain CTC’s policies and procedures.
  • Conduct bi-annual employee satisfaction survey and manage team feedback.

Administration

  • Assist the CTC Accounts Department with additional tasks as required.
  • Manage Manulife employee benefits as the plan administrator.
  • Support employees with Ceridian login and access to paystubs.


REQUIREMENTS


  • Understanding of the Government of Ontario’s labor laws and disciplinary procedures.
  • A positive, team-player attitude with a commitment to supporting the growth of our company and team.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
