The People and Culture (P&C) Coordinator understands the importance of providing

timely, thoughtful support to every member of the CSP team. This role is essential for

ensuring that CSP attracts and retains the right talent for our evolving not-for profit business

and creates a successful onboarding experience for each new hire.


Reporting to the Director, People and Culture, the Coordinator will be our HRIS

champion and an internal expert on many of the processes related to the employee lifecycle.

They will accurately complete all tasks related to recruitment, onboarding, benefits

administration, compensation reviews and changes, and providing back-up support to the

payroll function. Additionally, they will be a member of such committees as: Culture, EDIA

and Health, Wellness & Safety, taking minutes and supporting various initiatives aimed at

improving the employee experience at CSP.


This is a key support role which has input to CSP’s evolving culture. The P&C

Coordinator is a resourceful self-starter with a commitment to accuracy. They will work

closely with the Director, People & Culture to implement people and culture policies that

support our strategic plan. They will create and implement a comprehensive performance

management framework and other innovative programs designed to increase employee

engagement, foster employee wellness, drive EDIA, support leadership skills development,

and more.


What is the position responsible for?


• Recruitment: Manages the full recruitment cycle. Partners with hiring manager to

complete requisitions and approvals, create job postings, conduct applicant screening,

schedule candidate interviews, arrange testing as applicable, check references and

prepare employment offers.

• Onboarding: Completes payroll documentation and benefits enrolment. Conducts new

employee compliance training. Updates company organizational charts.

• Compensation: Coordinates data for external surveys, gathers relevant data for annual

review budget (for board approval) and the company’s annual increase process.

• Performance Management: Coordinates reminders for managers, ensures

documentation is completed on time, assists P&C Director to review leadership

development opportunities and plan training initiatives.

• Development: Supports the training and development process for all employees by

reviewing needs identified in the Performance Success Program process, leadership

development, and legislated training requirements (JHSC, AODA, etc). Completes and

submits the company’s AODA Compliance Report in accordance with government

requirements.

• Health, Wellness and Safety: Participates on Health, Wellness & Safety Committee,

manages the company’s wellness expense program, fields and triages ergonomic

assessments, coordinates Lunch & Learn sessions.

• Payroll: On an alternating or occasional basis, processes full payroll cycle and runs

reports to maintain proficiency as a back-up to the Payroll and Finance Administrator.

• Project Support: Provides administrative support to the company’s EDIA and Culture

committees and supports other projects as appropriate at the P&C Director’s discretion.


Does this describe you?


• Human Resources Management college diploma or certificate.

• 2 + years of relevant work experience.

• Demonstrated success in performing full-cycle recruitment.

• Experience maintaining an HRIS; working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is considered an asset.

• Demonstrated success in performing payroll administration.

• A resourceful self-starter who will often work independently but is happy to collaborate.

• A team player who looks for opportunities to support a positive, healthy culture.

• Strong commitment to detail; ability to examine own work to ensure accuracy.

• Superior verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.

• A desire to grow within the role, a commitment to one's own development and a “can-do” attitude.
