Job Description
Introduction


Our People and Culture Partners (PCP’s for short!) manage all things employment relations across the group as well playing a fundamental role in embedding our amazing culture as part of wider integration plans. This is an incredibly varied role where you will provide advice and guidance to managers on sometimes complex Employment Relations. Although you will be responsible for employment relations in your own operational areas, you will regularly provide insights in to HR metrics to the Director of People.


Key Responsibilities


MY MAIN DUTIES


To advise, guide and support managers with all matters relating to employee relationsEffective case management of people related issues such as: disciplinaries, performance management, employment tribunals, grievance and absence management Developing effective relationships with the business to promote good employee relations and embed the LCG culture across the organisationMonitoring trends in employment practices and providing insight on appropriate proactive actionProviding advice and guidance on disciplinary and welfare cases, capability, grievance, and coaching / training managers where appropriate.Ensure all employees are legal and compliant with employment legislation, that they have a right to work in the UK, and that they are suitable for employmentEnsure the HR database is maintained and holds accurate data in accordance with GDPRDevelop a rapport with managers and employeesReviewing HR templates and policies to ensure they are fit for purpose and in line with current legislationCreate training modules and deliver this to managers and key staff Participate and support in the recruitment processCarrying out such other duties as may be reasonably requested by the line manager, or any more senior managerSharing in the Group’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adultsConduct your role in line with the company values and expected behaviours.Implement and comply with the Safeguarding and Health and Safety Policies.Ensure the maintenance of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.Promote equal opportunities and recognition of diversity throughout the company.Provide learners, customers and colleagues with support, advice guidance as part of your everyday role Conduct your role in line with the company values and expected behavioursPromote equal opportunities and recognition of diversity throughout the companyComply with the Safeguarding, Prevent and Health and Safety Policies and be vigilant to potential concerns and risks at all timesEnsure confidentiality and professionalism at all times. We’d need you to have… CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent experience)Experience of handling employment relations including Disciplinary investigations / ACASExperience of complex employment relation queriesExperience of working in a busy HR departmentKnowledge of Employment Law and how to apply this to employment casesAbility to engage with all stakeholders across the businessStrong written and verbal communication skills to ensure stakeholders are clear on policy / processAbility to manage a constant workload with conflicting demands to achieve timely deadlines while maintain attention to detailCompetent in IT Skills It would be great if you had… Experience of conducting large organisational changesExperience of the education sectorUse of Sage People System Will I manage people? Is driving essential? Can this role be performed remotely?☐How often will I be required to travel?
