Hockey Helps the Homeless

Hockey Helps the Homeless (HHTH) is a national registered charity that coordinates and executes one-day pro-am hockey tournaments where men and women get a chance to play with hockey greats and raise funds to address the needs of the estimated 250,000 people who will experience homelessness in Canada this year. Since 1996, HHTH has raised over $20 million in support of 40+ local homeless agencies across Canada.

Locations: Barrie, Calgary, Durham Region, Edmonton, Halifax, Kelowna, Kingston, London, Montreal, Ottawa, Peel Region, Saskatoon, Toronto, Vancouver, Waterloo, Winnipeg, York Region

Committee Member: Overview

Hockey Helps the Homeless (HHTH) is currently seeking individuals to join the local volunteer tournament planning committees. Planning committees are supported by HHTH Operations staff.

Time Commitment (per year): 5-10 hours of committee meetings, 20-30 hours of independent work, tournament day.

Local Sponsorship Coordinator - Roles & Responsibilities

• Recruit teams and players for sponsored teams

• Build sponsor database

• Sponsor solicitation

• Tracking sponsors

• Liaise between sponsors and HHTH

• Grow and maintain sponsor relationships
