Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Corporate Sponsorship Consultant to join our team on a short-term contract basis. As the Corporate Sponsorship Consultant, you will be responsible for soliciting corporate sponsorship for an upcoming event. Your primary objective will be to secure financial support and partnerships from businesses and organizations to maximize the success of the event.


Responsibilities:


Research and Identify Prospective Sponsors:

  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential corporate sponsors aligned with the event's objectives and target audience.
  • Evaluate sponsorship opportunities by considering the company's values, industry relevance, and marketing strategies.

Develop and Implement Sponsorship Strategy:

  • Create a comprehensive sponsorship strategy, outlining key benefits and value propositions for potential sponsors.
  • Tailor sponsorship packages to meet the specific needs and goals of different companies, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships.

Solicit Sponsorship Agreements:

  • Negotiate sponsorship terms and financial contributions, aiming to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Reach out to potential sponsors through various communication channels, including email, phone calls, and video calls.
  • Present sponsorship proposals, highlighting the benefits, exposure, and return on investment offered by sponsoring the event.

Build and Maintain Relationships:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to sponsors, addressing inquiries promptly and ensuring their expectations are met.
  • Regularly communicate with sponsors to provide updates on event planning, promotional activities, and partnership activation opportunities.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with sponsors, serving as the main point of contact throughout the sponsorship cycle.

Collaborate with the Event Team:

  • Coordinate with the marketing and communications team to develop promotional materials and branding collateral to support sponsorship efforts.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and payment collection from sponsors.
  • Work closely with the event planning team to understand the event's goals, target audience, and marketing initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in corporate sponsorship, business development, or related fields.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using various communication tools and software applications.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of event planning, marketing, and branding strategies is an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasive abilities to secure sponsorships and financial commitments.


This is a short-term contract role with an estimated duration of 8 weeks. The consultant will report to the CEO and work closely with the event planning team. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-profile event and play a crucial role in its success.
