Job Description
Job Title: Dispatcher
Location: Boucherville
Industry: Transport
Our client in the Transport Industry for over 40+ years, servicing Canadian clients for FTL and LTL shipments is seeking to add a Dispatcher to their operations team.
Looking for someone with minimum 2 years experience in dispatching, who speaks French and English.

Advantages
Permanent full time position Monday-Friday
40 hours a week, hours are flexible (can start between 7am and 9am)
Salary ranges from 55-65k depending on experience
Insurances (medical and dental)
2-3 weeks of vacation paid, 10 sick days and 3 personal days

Responsibilities
  • Work with operations team in respectful manner
  • Resolve and respond accordingly to calls from customers as well as the customer service group
  • Communicate with drivers at defined intervals to manage service expectations and identify problems
  • Update customer files
  • Monitor shipments
  • Timely and efficient dispatch to ensure that a high service is maintained
  • Track and trace
  • Responsible for the pickup and delivery of freight to customer locations
  • Daily follow-up of all open files (reservations, customer follow-up requests, etc.)
  • Planning and execution of both outbound and inbound
  • Being main point of contact for drivers on the route
Qualifications
Minimum 1-year work experience in related field in dispatching for a trucking or distribution company
Bilingual in English and French.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Knowledge of AS400 is an asset
Mechanical knowledge an asset.
Customer Service oriented and personable.
Organized and reliable.
